Curious about VTS and the Coast Guard? Come for a guided tour with up to 38 of your RHYC friends.
Steve Antush (M/Y Wet Tush) has arranged this for us!
The plan is to meet at the Coast Guard between 10-10:30AM, the tour begins at 10:30.
We are planning to get a bite to eat together after, the location will be selected once we have a confirmed number of attendees. There is no cost for the tour, the meal/drinks are to be individually paid.

The purpose of a Vessel Traffic Service (VTS) is to provide active monitoring and navigational advice for vessels in particularly confined and busy waterways.

We need to gather Legal Name, DOB, Drivers License and US Citizen (Y/N)
The CG will do a background check.
You MUST REGISTER BY 9/30 or you cannot join.
Cell phones not allowed in the VTS room but you can bring them in the building.
Tour will be between 90 min and 2 hours. 45 min presentation then tour of VTS and Coast Guard Command center.
